Different types of water treatment systems in Malaysia

Water is one of the most essential component of the planet and life without water is hard to fathom. The presence of water throughout the planet itself signifies the importance of water in the life of human beings. But not all kinds of water can be consumed by the human body. In order to use water for consumption, the treatment of water is very important. This is because water comprises of various chemicals and sediments which affect the taste, smell and overall composition of water.

Thus, treatment of water is very necessary in order to make it safe for drinking purposes. Today, science and technology has given us a number of different water treatment systems. Water treatment system in Malaysia and wastewater treatment system in Malaysia and various parts of the world can be easily carried out using these treatment systems.

You can choose from among a number of different water treatment systems to get your water purified to further use it for drinking and other purposes. Here are the four important and prevalent water treatment systems in Malaysia the use of which is carried out by a number of people:

  1. Reverse Osmosis:

This process is used for the reduction of all the dissolved ions like salt from water. Under this process pressure is applied to force the water by the way of a semi-permeable membrane. This transfers the water and rejects all the other unwanted materials. Upon forcing against the membrane surface, all these dissolved materials are eventually repelled and the molecules of water are then diffused by the way of membrane molecule by molecule which eventually makes the water pure on the very other side.

  1. Ultraviolet:

Sunlight is considered to be long recognized for the treatment of micro-organisms as it tends to kill them all. The UV spectrum of the sunlight is now made into use in the Ultraviolet water treatment which has become a prevalent wastewater treatment system in Malaysia. This method is also called as the Germicidal Spectrum or Frequency where the use of frequency is taken into action in killing all the micro-organisms at a frequency of 254 nanometers. The UV lamps are taken into used to provide the highest amount of UV energy at the particular frequency.

  1. Filtration:

Under this process, water passes through a water system including one or more number of filters which tend to remove taste, turbidity, iron, color and the odor present in water. The process of filtration includes a mechanical, neutralizing, adsorptive as well as oxidizing filters.

  1. Distillation:

Under this process, filtration of water is done by the way of heating it into vapor state. This vapor is further collected, cooled and then condensed into a liquid state and then collected again for drinking purposes. The process of distillation helps to clean all the contamination out of water and this process is considered to be better than any other processes of water treatment. It needs a lot of energy only to produce a small amount of water which is purified.
